Year 3 Celebration Assembly

6th October 2017

This week we celebrated the achievements of year 3 as they come to the end of their first half term at Wicklea Academy. We were treated to some fantastic reading of their descriptive writing by some very brave children. They focused on using adjectives, adverbs and creating a scary story for the reader with amazing results.

Year 3 also showed us their great art work from Celtic day. A day where they launched their History topic ‘The Romans Are Coming!’ We saw the beautiful detailed letters they created using Celtic style art. Ash class read some of their Celtic life recounts imagining they were living thousands of years ago.

Well done to all the year 3s for their tremendous start to the year!

A huge well done to everyone who earned a Mathletics, Spelladrome and timestables certificate.
