December 2015 - The Christmas Carol Concert

Well done to all the children who sang in the Christmas Carol Concert. The standard of singing was very high this year, with children doing solos and the choir singing in a small group. The class teachers worked very hard with their classes to produce Christmas songs:

Year 3 sang ‘Wish it could be Christmas, ’ Year 4 sang ‘Santa Claus is coming to town Year 5 sang ‘Rocking around the Christmas tree’ and year 6 sang ‘Jingle Bells Rock.’

A special well done to Kaylee in year 4 who sang a solo for the French version of ‘Jingle Bells’ and she also sang a solo in the choir with ‘Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer!

The children in the choir were: Jorja, Sofia, Ruben, Tori, Maddy, Kathleen, Tia, Kamila, Zoe, Julia, Ava, Lena, Kaylee, Isabella, Tess, Gracie and Jasmine. They were very brave to sing in front of such a large audience.

Well done to the readers in year 6: Sicely, Izzy, Chloe and Ben.

There were some brave children who played individual piano pieces:

It was a fantastic success and the children thoroughly enjoyed learning their songs and performing in front of parents on three occasions!

We would also like to say a special thank you for Miss Allen for organising the concert and also Everton for playing the piano and guitar accompaniments.

Finally, thank you parents for your support – it was a very successful concert that was held over an afternoon and two evenings.
