June 2017 - Year 5 Celebration Assembly

16th June 2017

The focus for assembly this week was year 5.

Year 5 have been looking at India in recent weeks looking at all different aspects of the country. They used great empathy to write letters, imagining they are children living in the poorer parts of the country. We found out all about how people and animals have adapted to live in the hot weather.

Year 5 also worked on their oral storytelling and the skills they needed to keep the audience interested and entertained. Listen to Jonty and Harry telling their story as well as Taslim and Julia using fabulous expression.

We were also treated to some fantastic dance inspired by the India topic. Well done year 5!

Lots of year 3 and year 5 children earning their times tables certificates.

Attendance

Well done to all those children who earned their 100% attendance award. It is becoming less every term but lots of children who have been in school every day since September.
