When pupils start at Wicklea Academy they are allocated one of four houses which they proudly display on their school sweatshirts.
The houses are:
Brunel: Isambard Kingdom Brunel was a famous Victorian inventor who was born in Plymouth. He designed the Clifton Suspension bridge and the SS Great Britain.
Cabot: John Cabot was an Italian explorer who set sail from Bristol to North America.
Fry: Named after Elizabeth Fry the prison reformer.
More: Named after the poet and educator who founded the first school in Brislington.

As voted by their house members, here are our house captains and vice captains! The children will be representing their houses and the school in a number of ways throughout the year. Well done to them all.
