Trip Information

We use external trips, residential camps and visitors to enhance our curriculum and provide experiences that couldn't happen in the usual school day. Often these take place at the start of a new topic to capture the children's imagination, ready for them to continue to build on their learning over the term. Currently we offer the following experiences:

Year 3 - A trip to Caerleon linked to our Romans in Britain topic, a visit by a historical expert for our 'Saxon Day' and a trip to Noah's Ark Zoo Farm to support our Rainforest topic.

Year 4 - A two night stay at our Hooke Court residential camp. This links to our Victorians topic and the science curriculum and a visit by a historical expert for our 'Viking Day' and 'Ancient Egypt Day'.

Year 5 - A trip to the Steam Museum in Swindon to support our WWII topic, a visit by a historical expert for our 'Ancient Greek Day' and a visit from the 'Explorer Dome' to support our Space topic.

Year 6 - An overnight stay at a  residential camp in the Summer term. A visit to the local Lifeskills Centre, a trip to the M-Shed to support our Slave Trade topic and a visit by a historical expert for our 'Tudor Day'.
