Celebration Assembly - Year 3 & 6 School Trips

7th December 2018

Celebration assembly 7-12-18

This week year 3 and 6 were on trips to enhance their learning from the topics they have been studying. Year 3 celebrated the children who showed fantastic behaviour but asked and answered some great questions.

Year 6 children were also rewarded for representing Wicklea Academy brilliantly!

Well done to all the children who made the most of the opportunity to build on the learning we have done in lessons!

Lily-Rose and George shared their interview with Henry VIII. A very amusing and historically accurate interview!

Writers of the week

Year 4 - For using all the key features, success criteria and writing targets in her writing was Anna.

We also heard some examples of great writing from Oscar, Casey and Macey.

Year 5 - Daisy for great imaginative writing.

Problem solver of the week

Year 5 - Theo C for taking more responsibility for his learning. He is choosing a sensible place to sit so people can not distract him or using resources around the class to help him before putting his hand up. What a great learning attitude to have!

Carol concerts

We would like to say a huge thank you to Mrs Rees and singing club in particular who either organise or performed at all 4 carol concerts! A great event that would not happen without out the hard work of Mrs Rees, who taught singing club, singing assembly to the whole school and year 4 their own special songs. Thank you to all the adults that bought tickets to join us and to those who donated to our collection for charity.
